This is a Rare & Vintage Lithograph by Antoni Clave Sanmartin (1913 – 2005) who is an Internationally Known Artist & Listed in Many Art Indexes throughout the World. Its an Original Piece on Velin Rives Woven Paper that Comes in a Beautifully Ebony & Gilt Frame under Glass. This is a Very Limited Edition of only 48 that were done in Black out of an Total Edition of 250 made by Clave Titled “Voltaire Candide Or The Optimist” after the Great Philosopher. Antoni Clavé was a painter, printmaker, and set designer celebrated for his dark and lyrical Abstractions. This Piece has some wear along the edges of the Rives Paper and some foxing in the upper right of the floral area with Naturally Aged Patina that gives its character. His Works have been Exhibited in Museums throughout the World and are also held in Corporate & Private Collections. This Piece came from a Private Estate which makes it Very Rare due to its Size, Age & Beauty. Please keep in mind this is All Original and has some minor wear and imperfections consistent with its age. Overall in Great Condition and All shown in the photos.
