This is a Rare & Original Oil Painting by William Homer Haskell (1875 – 1952) who is a Listed Artist in Many Indices throughout the World. It comes in its Original Gilded Carved Frame & Light of Museum Size & Quality Measuring Over 4 Feet Wide & Dates back to Circa 1901. Its Titled “The Story” Hain Painted on a Gold Gilded Plaque & is an Original Oil on Canvas Painting Depicting an Interior Figurative Double Portrait Illustration that was beautifully done in Meticulous Details from the Time Period. This Painting was Exhibited at the World-Renowned Paris Salon Exhibition in 1901. Its listed in the Paris Salon 1901 Exhibition Catalogue & Archived Records. This is one of Haskell’s finest paintings and his largest work on record. The painting has craquelure throughout and has some old repairs from natural age on its original canvas as shown in the photos. Please keep in mind this painting is roughly 125 years old and All Original and should be professionally cleaned at your discretion. It comes with its Original Gilded Carved Frame that was Beautifully done with Floral Acanthus leaves & Scroll work from the Era. It has the Original Artist Name Plaque at the center of the Frame with the Artists Name & Title of the artwork. The top of the frame has its original Light. This came from a Private Collection which makes it very Rare Due to its Size, Age & Beauty. Please keep in mind this is All Original and has some minor wear and imperfections consistent with its age.
