Vintage Sable Mouvant Drypoint Circa 1966 by Pablo Picasso 

This is an ORIGINAL Ink Engraving Lithograph by Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) who is a well known Artist listed in Many Art Indexes. This piece is All Original and Comes in a Beautiful Gallery Frame with Linen Lined Borders around the edges. It is set on an Original Wood Stretcher that borders around the edges at the back and screwed in through the sides of the frame which is of the Highest Museum Quality that was done with High End Artwork. It has a stamped label on the back stretcher from The Frameguild in New York City.

This Piece is Titled Sculptor before His Sculpture Stand, with a Bearded Spectator (Sculpteur Devant sa Sellette, avec un Spectateur Barbu) (page 47) from Sable Mouvant 1964, Author Pierre Revedy & Published in 1966 by Louis Broder. Only 220 Editions were Made. Picasso was A painter and printmaker who Revolutionized Western Art, He was born in Spain and lived most of his life either there or in France.  His father was an art teacher, and the young Pablo grew up in an artistic environment.  By the age of fourteen, he was an accomplished draftsman, and in 1900 at age nineteen, he made his first trip to Paris.  There he studied the Old Masters and Classical sculpture and also was exposed to the paintings of Impressionists and Post Impressionists.

This piece was signed and dated in Ink with Roman Numeral IV which is shown in the photos. This Piece dates back to the late 1960s. It depicts a Beautiful Silhouette of a Female Figure with a with Figural Faces of the Sulptor creating a Sculpture of a Female Figure on a Stand with a Bearded Spectator on each side which is shown in the photos. It has its Label on the Verso by Frameguild NYC and the Artwork itself is set on a wooden stretcher which is expected for a High Quality work on Paper such as Pablo Picasso. The piece itself is All Original and has some wear with minor Scuffing in a small area in the Ink which may be seen in the photos. These slight imperfections which is somewhat hard to see is also what gives this piece its character from natural age. It has a nice Linen Lined Matting around the borders that needs a cleaning or replaced with a new mat. This is a Beautiful & Rare Subject and was done on a thick Special Woven Rives Paper that has a lined embossed throughout the edges of the piece. The Beauty of Art is all in the Eye of the Beholder. It has beautiful Color Tones in the Ink and Design with Nice shades of Tonalism that gives it Great Depth and Dimension to the details as shown in the photos. Please keep in mind this piece is All ORIGINAL and has some minor wear and imperfections consistent with its age as shown in the photos. Overall its in Great Condition.

Overall Framed it measures approx. 20 1/4 inches wide and approx. 24 1/4 inches high. This came from a Private Estate in New York and was BEAUTIFULLY MADE of the Highest Quality and Craftmanship that can be handed down to Generations.
