This is a Rare & Original Mixed Media Painting by Paul Klee (1879-1940) who is an Internationally Known Artist Listed in Many Art Indexes. Its an Original Painting that was titled Dancing Girl Circa 1940 that was done over a Special Woven Fabric Cloth on Board with his Signature on the back and His Initials Monogrammed on The Front in the Lower Right Corner Inside the Circle of the Painting which is shown in the photos. This Piece is of Museum Size & Quality Measuring Approx 2 1/2 feet Wide & Almost 3 Feet High with an Ebonized Finish & Gilt Trim Frame with Linen Lined Matting that Borders the Edges. In Dancing Girl, Klee Experimented with Unusual Media and Techniques to Create Awe-Inspiring Multi-Dimensional Effects which is shown in the Photos. There are Aspects of the Natural Environment that Klee is Yearning to Display. The Lines and rough Painting in the background clearly reflect Trees and Grass with Accented Floral Foliage that Surrounds the Figure in the Painting. This is an indication that the Dancing Girl is out in the Open, among the trees and treading on the green grass. The Girl Blends in Perfectly with Nature. Paul Klee was dismissed in 1933 and he was directly affected by the Nazis’ ascent to power. Between 1937 and 1940, Klee regained Artistic Momentum and Produced several Hundred Paintings and over 1,500 Drawings. In these later works, Klee continued to Experiment with Unusual Media and Techniques to Produce Multi Dimensional Effects. Dancing Girl also reveals Klee’s Limitless Humor—His Signature at the Lower Right was made by a Monogrammed Handkerchief, which he laid over the surface to begin his Painting. This Piece is Old and has Wear from Natural Age as shown in the pictures. His Works have been Exhibited in Museums throughout the World and also held in Corporate & Private Collections. It Comes in a Beautiful Ebonized Frame with Gilt Lined Trim that Borders Around the Edges and of Museum Quality.  The Painting Itself was done on a Fabric Cloth which is Brittle from Natural Age and has some minor wear and loss along the corner of the edges which cannot be seen with the Frame and Matting. There is very old glue around the outer edges of the Painting Outside of the Lining which cannot be seen as well and does have some minor scuffing along the side and wear from Natural Age. The Piece itself from the Outer Linings Done in Form has been Well Kept considering its Age. The Board that its on is very old and Brittle but was kept because its Original to the Piece and has Paul Klee’s Signature on the Back as Well as the Front which is also shown in the pictures of the Listing. This is a very intriguing piece with Various Mediums that were used. It has beautiful Color Tones, Lines and Form that gives it Great Depth and Dimension to the details. The Beauty of Art is All in The Eye of The Beholder. Please keep in mind this is All Original and has some minor wear and imperfections consistent with its age. Overall its in Great Condition and is All shown in the photos.
