This is a Rare & Antique Vintage Original Vanity Fair Portrait Lithograph by Sir Leslie Ward also known as SPY (1851 – 1922) who is Very Well Listed Artist in Many Art Indices throughout the World. He regularly published his art under his pseudonym name “SPY” which is referenced in Art Records & his Wikipedia page . It comes in a Gilded Frame Under Glass & is Signed & Dated Circa 1882 with a Certificate of Authenticity affixed to the Back. Its Titled “Fair Trade” Depicting a portrait of Sampson Samuel Lloyd Published in Vanity Fair, March 11, 1882 as “Men of the Day” Number 254. Its a nice Figurative Illustration as a Chromolithograph which is a specialized form of lithography that produces a full color image in which this was made and done Meticulous Details from the Time Period. Wards works have been Exhibited in Museums & Galleries throughout the World and are also Held in Corporate & Private Collections and t here is one at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. This piece comes from a Private Estate which makes it very Rare Due to its Size, Age & Beauty.
