This is a Rare & Original Antique 19th Century Engraving by Sir Joshua Reynolds P.R.A. (1723-1792) Titled “Simplicity” & Published By James Faed (1821–1911) who is a Well Known Artist & Printmaker from England & Both Artists are Listed in Many Art Indices throughout the World including Wikipedia. This is an Original Color Stipple Engraving Mezzotint & depicts a Beautiful Young Lady in White Dress by the name of Miss Theophilia Ghatkins as the Sitter Surrounded by a Landscape & Floral Foliage that was Done in Meticulous Details from the Time Period. Its Inscribed “London Published Date 1875 By GP McQueen 37 Great Marlborough Street Regent Street” & Titled “Simplicity” in Large Scripted Font as shown in the photos. Sir Joshua Reynolds was the First President to The Royal Academy of Arts which is one of the most prestigious in the World. His Works have been Exhibited in Museums throughout the World & are held in Corporate & Private Collections. This comes from a Private Collection which makes it Very Rare due to its Size, age & Beauty.
